SPINZILLA is the only fiber contest I compete in. Seeing how much yarn I can spin in one week is something I can really sink my teeth into. Each year I plan a special spinning project for the week. In 2013 I spun yarn for several sweaters, a shawl or two and 3 pounds of cashmere for Tanglewood fibers. The 16,852 yards spun during the week earned me Individual Grand Champion. In 2014 I placed 2nd spinning 30,723 yards of fingering weight Bam Huey. For 2015 my plan is to spin a new yarn using 1 ply of 100% Baby Camel Down and 1 ply of Bam Huey (60% Merino 40% Bamboo). This new yarn, Baby Huey, will be THICK and SQUISHY!
