Bam Huey hand painted spinning fiber is 60% Merino 40% Bamboo. I hand paint the fiber with Landscape Dyes and use steam to set the dye, which leaves the fiber fluffy and easy to spin. Bam Huey fiber is soft yet strong, making it wonderful for next to the skin wear from socks to shawls. The Confetti Masque colorway came about from a request for a fiber in a Mardi Gras theme. My first thoughts when thinking of Mardi Gras is every bright color under the sun. This was a good starting point, but I knew I would need to come up with a base color, but I couldn't choose just one! I decided I would leave the choice up to my husband, so I asked him, "what is the first color you think of when I say the words Mardi Gras"......his reply.... "Black" Well this threw me for a loop, and I asked him, "of all the bright colors associated with Mardi Gras, why in the world did you pick black?!?!?! His reply " I first think of the black eye masques. Well as usual his idea was the spark I needed, and before long Confetti on a Black Masque was hanging to dry!
